Biography:
Jana Chodonowitsch (she/her), born in Siberia in 1994, emigrated to northern Germany with her family in 1996 as the daughter of a late repatriate. Today, she lives and works in Zurich as a multidisciplinary artist and scrub nurse.
Focusing on the body, she explores transformation, duality, and the relationships between the body, mind, and soul through painting, film, and poetry.
Her work is closely intertwined with the extremes of the operating room and the artist's personal experience as a woman in a patriarchal society.
