Jana Chodonowitsch (she/her), daughter of ethnic German late resettlers, born in 1994 in Novosibirsk, lives and works as a multidisciplinary artist in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.
As a trained surgical technician for more than a decade, she assisted in surgical procedures on humans. Today, this clinical experience forms the honest foundation of her work.
With a deep sensitivity to the body and physicality, Jana explores eruptions caused by disappointment and relationships between society and human bodies within the context of patriarchal structures, history, trauma and transformation through paintings, analog illustrations, film, poetry and prose.
